Servants brought this piece to the paddock after the hunt in the Victorian era.  The meals were kept warm by hot water in the pierced basin.  The miniature comprises 17 individual, removable pieces: four covered entree dishes, two casters, two condiment bowls, and pierced server accommodating lidded sauce tureen with ladle.
